What Celtic training will look like as they return to Lennoxtown

Celtic return to training today but it's going to look a lot different than before.

The Hoops were one of the first two Premiership clubs to acquire Covid-19 testing machines and were given the go-ahead to bring their players back to Lennoxtown on Thursday.

Celtic players and staff will have to abide by various strict regulations - but what exactly will it look like?

A leaked document obtained by the Daily Record outlines the rules clubs across Scotland will have to adhere to as part of Phase Two of the Scottish Government's lockdown route map.

The 'group training' stage will see players asked to stick to two metre social distancing with no contact allowed. No staff or team meetings will be permitted while session planning will need to take place off-site.

Staff and players must arrive at training in their own transport, bring their own boots and kit from home, and wait in their own cars until access is granted to pitches.

Players will also be required to fill out a coronavirus questionnaire and undergo contactless temperature testing on arrival at the training complex.

During training, they are strongly discouraged from spitting and clearing their nose, while the sharing of items such as bibs and GPS vests is not allowed.

There will be no access to changing rooms, showers or canteens and players will need to shower after returning home.

Only injured players are allowed to use indoor gym facilities, and have one-to-one sessions with staff, although both people must be wearing PPE at all times.

On the training field, all cones and poles must be set out on arrival and cleaned by one designated member of staff after sessions have finished.
