What Celtic star Albian Ajeti has said about his body language as striker left frustrated again

Celtic striker Albian Ajeti suffered another day of personal frustration as he was hooked after 54 minutes during Saturday's abject 2-2 draw with Hibs.

The 24-year-old was a £5million summer arrival from West Ham and started quickly with five goals in limited game time but he hasn't netted in any of his last eight appearances.

Ajeti as he was limited to few chances before Neil Lennon made the call his game was over shortly after the opener as Odsonne Edouard replaced him.

Shouts of "Albie" were heard loud and clear within the empty Easter Road for much of the afternoon as the Hoops boss asked for more from the Switzerland international during the Premiership crunch clash.

The player himself was animated as he once again gestured to pal Moi Elyounoussi just a fortnight after the pair exchanged views at Fir Park.

Celtic supporters on social media have picked up on his expressive reactions when he is substituted after failing to find the back of the net.

Speaking to the Celtic View earlier this week, Ajeti tried to explain: “I should try not to let it bother me because you can’t score in every game but I have that much fire in myself that I want to score in every game.

“If I play 60 minutes or 90 minutes I say to myself that I had 60 or 90 minutes to score a goal and I didn’t.

"This i just my mentality and it might look sometimes like I’m frustrated, but this isn’t frustration at the gaffer or anyone.

“It’s just me frustrated that I didn’t meet my own standards. The gaffer understands this because we’ve talked, he knows me and I love scoring goals.”
