What Bristol City need to address on transfer deadline day

Eddie Nketiah may not be coming but there are still other irons out there and plenty of quality players to target as the Robins look to complete their summer business this transfer window.

Lee Johnson asked for five signings this week. So far he has two and a third on the brink (Adam Nagy).

The key thing is to get that extra firepower in. If a quality forward comes in it will make so much difference for the Robins.

Then there are two other major areas to sort, in priority order.

Fix the attack

A quality forward is needed. After Eddie Nketiah's no show for his booked-in medical on Wednesday the omens do not look on that deal.

Maybe the 20-year-old sharpshooter will head elsewhere and if so, good luck to him. Leeds United already have a Premier League attacker on loan from a north London giant - and he didn't make it off the bench at the weekend. Still time to reconsider yet, Eddie?

Bobby Reid rumours are springing up and that would make a lot of sense. So much so that I've written elsewhere why he would be my dream signing for City on Deadline Day.

If not Bobby, then who? If not today, when?

Fix central defence

Less of a priority, but a top calibre centre-back is still needed

Ship out the players not needed
