What Bristol City, Hull City and Stoke City target has said about his Derby County future after rumours

Bristol City are one of a number of clubs linked with Derby County goalkeeper Kelle Roos.

The Robins are said to be monitoring the Dutchman's situation, with his Rams contract set to expire in the summer.

Talks are ongoing on a new deal, but Hull City and Stoke City have both been linked with moves for the 26-year-old along with the Robins.

When asked about his future, Roos said the most important thing for him is to be playing games.

"There are quite a few players coming to the end of their contracts but, for me, it's not really an issue," he told Derbyshire Live in mid-February.

"I'm here, I've been at Derby for long enough, I've stuck around and I think people can see that I've had to be patient, and I'm not just here to take part. I'm here to show what I can do and I have to thank everyone around me, and the fans for how they've been with me.

"I'm just grateful for the opportunity I have at the minute. The contract situation is not really important for me at the minute.

"I'll just keep my head down and I want to play games. That's what I've always wanted. Derby knows this, I know this, the manager knows this, so it's all good.

"I'm at Derby now, so it's quite simple. At the beginning of the season, I was a number two. I had a couple of conversations with the manager and I decided that I wanted to be at this club to fight for my place. Nothing has changed there.

"I am here, and I want to be here, obviously, otherwise I would have been out on loan, but I felt like this was my year to kick on, and get in this team.

"On the contract side of things, I'm not really interested in that at the minute."
