What Brentford head coach Thomas Frank had to say about Crystal Palace's interest in Ezri Konsa

Thomas Frank has admitted that he's aware of interest of interest in Ezri Konsa, but says that the defender would benefit from another season in the Championship.

Reports have suggested that Crystal Palace are preparing a £15million move for the former Charlton man after an impressive debut season in at Griffin Park.

The 21-year-old is tipped for big things, but speaking after the 1-1 draw with Millwall the Bees head coach says that the defender must decide if he wants to reach the Premier League by staying with Brentford or by moving elsewhere.

Frank said: "I think Ezri Konsa is a very good, talented player.

"I think he'll become very good. I understand that there's interest in him but I think he'll learn a lot from one more year in the Championship because there's a lot of things to develop.

"There's still a big step to go from League One, to the Championship, to the Premier League. I think he has the potential to go there one day.

Every word Thomas Frank has just said about Brentford's 1-1 draw with Millwall

"He just needs to decide if he wants to go there with us or go there with another club in the future."
