What bars and restaurants are open on King Street in Wigan this weekend?

Pubs and restaurants around Greater Manchester can open their doors again from 6am on Saturday morning.

After more than 100 days of lockdown, people once again be able to enjoy a pint or a slap up meal in their favourite establishments.

Despite the restrictions being lifted, some pubs, bars and restaurants are remaining closed for the time being.

Ahead of this weekend, MyWigan has compiled a list of venues that have announced their reopening plans in Wigan's nightlife hub King Street.

Reef Bar and Terrace

The pub at Reef will be open daily from 11am "until late".

Reef promises nine televisions, a HD projector and ice cold draught beer for those in attendance.

Table reservations for three-hour time slots can be made through an external ticket site.

Booking in advance is not essential but entry cannot be guaranteed without.

Partyhaus Sports Arcade

Owned by the same company as Reef, Partyhaus will be open for the same hours as its sister bar Reef.

With five TVs and a HD projector, the venue is also encouraging table bookings, although it is not compulsory.

The booking process is the same as Reef, with tickets available from an external website.

Jak's

The popular nightspot will remain shut for the time being.

In a post on the venue's Facebook page, on June 30, a spokesman said: "We would love to open the venue on Saturday but we don’t believe we’d be giving you the experience that that you deserve, especially after being locked in for months. We want to make sure when we open that it’s the Jak’s you know and love!

"It just wouldn’t feel right not having you walk into the club without the lights going crazy, music pumping, having twerking competitions and going wild on the poles with your friends.

"We look forward to opening very soon but at the Jak’s that you deserve."

Einstein's Showbar and Terrace

Einstein's Bierkeller also posted a very similar message on its Facebook page.

A spokesman told people to keep checking the bar's social media pages for an announcement on when it will open once again.

Ibiza Bar

The tropical themed venue will remain closed.

A spokesman wrote on social media: "We just don’t think it’s right for us to try and open in some capacity as others may.

"We care about the health and well-being of our staff our little town and more importantly you. Your safety is our responsibility and we think it is too soon to reopen.

"As the weeks go by we will certainly be monitoring things, implementing systems and safety measures for when that time does come.

"Stay safe everyone we hope to see you dancing very soon."

Revolution Wigan

Selected Revolution bars are opening around the UK on Monday but Wigan is not one of them.

Bristol, Brighton, Liverpool Albert Docks and Huddersfield are the first branches to reopen their doors.

People can sign up to a mailing list to find out when the King Street bar will be back open.

NB: Those not included on the list are yet to reveal their reopening plans as of Friday July 3.
