What Barcelona legend Cesc Fabregas said about Trent Alexander-Arnold

Barcelona legend Cesc Fabregas ran out of superlatives for Trent Alexander-Arnold after the defender's quick-thinking in the Champions League saw Liverpool progress to the final.

The Liverpool youngster took advantage of Barcelona switching off to fire a short corner into the box in the second leg of the semi-final.

Divock Origi was on the same wave length as his Reds team-mate and fired the ball into the back of the net to put Liverpool ahead for the first time in the tie.

Alexander-Arnold was praised by the BT Sport commentators for thinking on his feet and securing Liverpool's place in the final of this season's competition.

And Barcelona legend Fabregas also had some very positive things to say about the young Englishman.

"Alexander-Arnold, 20 years old," tweeted the former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder. "People will tell me it's bad defending, I'm telling you it's pure intelligence and vision."
