What Arsenal fans chanted at Aaron Ramsdale after what happened during Leicester clash

Aaron Ramsdale joined Arsenal in the summer, signing from Sheffield United for a reported £24million.

A number of supporters were left bemused at the deal, claiming that the Gunners overpaid considering he was relegated in each of the last two seasons.

However, the Englishman has begun to prove doubters wrong, avoiding defeat in each of his first seven appearances, conceding just four times in the process.

The former England Under-21 international has commanded the box well whilst also showcasing his excellent distribution skills, earning a place in Gareth Southgate's squad earlier this month.

Ramsdale then produced another stellar display at the King Power Stadium against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon as Arsenal recorded a 2-0 victory thanks to first-half goals from Gabriel Magalhaes and Emile Smith Rowe.

The 23-year-old shot-stopper denied Leicester playmaker James Maddison with a wonderful acrobatic save on the cusp of half-time, saving the ball onto the post before it was eventually cleared off the line.

Following the spectacular stop, Arsenal fans chanted "England number one" at Ramsdale.

Gunners supporters then took to social media to heap praise on the youngster. Here is how a select few reacted on Twitter.

@Zurik_Official: "Ramsdale is better than Mendy. That's the tweet!"

@Bilive_Demigod: "Ramsdale is better than Mendy any day."

@b0othyz: "ramsdale is a better keeper than ederson."

@BergHenryVieira: "Ederson + Buffon + Pirlo = Aaron Ramsdale."

@Topends14: "Bruh that save is currently the best this PL season lmao."

@DanielKling17: "Can’t believe we actually grabbed such a quality goalkeeper."

@Moeeddkhann: "He's proving everybody wrong. What a signing he's been!"
