What are your favourite secret places in Britain's countryside?

Romping with North Face-clad wholesomeness onto our screens this week is Secret Britain, the BBC’s Countryfile spinoff that aims to open up the forgotten spaces in our green and pleasant land.

Kicking off in the Brecon Beacons, presenters Adam Henson and Ellie Harrison – who look like they get up at 5am each morning to duet with chaffinches and rehydrate from clouds – gush about hidden waterfalls and cave systems overlooked in the verdant Welsh borders. They’ll head to a different part of the country each episode, all inspired by Countryfile viewers’ suggestions.

So what are your own unsung corners of the countryside? Forget show ponies like Durdle Door, Windemere or Skye – we want to know about a particularly lush patch of cud in a field 20 miles south of Lincoln. Or a beach that’s only accessible via slightly irresponsible bouldering. That kind of thing. Post your suggestions in the comments below, and we’ll round up the best ones next week, complete with a Google map as a guide.
