What Are Wall Street Analysts' Target Price for Roper Technologies Stock?

Roper Technologies, Inc. (ROP), with a market capitalization of approximately $39 billion, is a diversified technology company that operates market-leading businesses providing vertical software and technology-enabled products for specialized niche markets. The Sarasota, Florida-based company focuses on software, network solutions, and technology products while using disciplined capital allocation to pursue acquisitions and growth.

Shares of the enterprise software giant have considerably underperformed the broader market over the past year. ROP has declined 23.5% over this period, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has rallied 20.2%. On a year-to-date basis, ROP has continued to underperform, plunging 8.5%, compared with the index’s 12.6% gain over the same period.

Narrowing the comparison, ROP has also underperformed the iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (IGV), which has declined 3.5% over the past year and 2.7% year to date.

On July 23, Roper Technologies reported its Q2 FY2026 earnings, sending shares up 5.5%. Revenue increased 8.5% to $2.11 billion, driven by organic growth and a 3% contribution from acquisitions. Adjusted EPS rose 10.5% to $5.38, while adjusted free cash flow increased 10.9% to $447 million.

Roper raised its full-year 2026 adjusted diluted EPS guidance to $22.15 to $22.30, from $21.80 to $22.05 previously. The company also increased its organic revenue growth outlook to approximately 6%, from 5% to 6% previously.

For the current fiscal year ending in December 2026, analysts expect ROP’s diluted EPS to rise 11.1% to $22.22. ROP has surpassed consensus EPS estimates in each of the past four quarters, which is impressive.

Among the 19 analysts covering ROP stock, the consensus rating is “Moderate Buy.” The rating is based on eight “Strong Buy” ratings, eight “Hold” ratings, and three “Strong Sell” ratings.

ROP’s analyst configuration is more bearish than it was two months ago, when the stock had nine “Strong Buy” ratings.

On August 6, Argus Research analyst John Eade upgraded Roper Technologies to a “Buy” rating and set a $450 price target.

The mean price target of $438.80 implies a 7.7% upside from ROP’s current share price, while the Street-high target of $550 suggests a potential upside of 22.8%.
