What are this year's Love Island cast up to? Fresh break-up, surprise marriage and fallouts

It may only seem like yesterday, but it's only been a month and a bit since the Love Island finale aired.

The reality dating show is one of the biggest hits each summer for Virgin Media and this year was no different as Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti came out on top to take home €50,000.

They've since taken the world by storm, with Ekin-Su being announced as the face of the Irish beauty brand BPerfect.

But things haven't been plain sailing for every person involved with the reality show.

We already know that Laura Whitmore will no longer be presenting the series from 2023 onwards after she confirmed she was stepping away in the aftermath of this year's final.

Now, we're seeing the real issues begin for some of the familiar faces that were on our screens this summer.

Paige and Adam 'split' after McDonalds photo

Paige Thorne was a fan favourite from day one of the show, with the Welsh paramedic finishing fifth after coupling up with bombshell (and previous Islander) Adam Collard after he sent shockwaves through the villa by arriving halfway through the show.

It seems that things may be going south for the pair though, after footage went viral of the shredded Geordie with his arms around another woman in a McDonalds over recent days.

Paige and Adam are now "on a break", sources say - but that never seems to end well.

Bullying accusations and bitter rows

Remi Lambert claims Jacques was a "bully" towards him in the villa (ITV)

We won't be surprised if you don't recall Remi Lambert's time on the show, as he lasted just three days.

However, he has since accused two other Islanders - Luca Bish and Jacques O'Neill - of bullying.

He blasted the pair in a statement, saying: "Everyone said I lied about the way I was treated in that villa, but this here is an example of what was going on whilst I was in there.

"It’s not banter, it’s clear signs of bullying.

In the statement, Remi described how Jacques made fun of his looks and his voice while Luca egged him on. "Jacques said bad things about my appearance and the way I speak, whilst Luca was encouraging it. After about 3 strikes from Jacques I told him I won’t be speaking to him anymore in the villa."

He added: “Worst person to represent mental health and ADHD campaigns. He’s still out here mocking not just me but other islanders too."

New siblings after surprise marriage

George Tasker and Mollie Salmon didn't last much longer than Remi in the villa, arriving in Casa Amor and being unceremoniously booted from the island just four days later after failing to couple up.

But that doesn't mean that love wasn't in the air - as they are now siblings.

For a short while, there were rumours about the stars, both 23, dating.

George had to jump on Instagram to explain the bizarre situation to his fans, revealing his mum and Mollie's dad embarked on a whirlwind romance and are now married.

He told followers: “So basically, absolute madness, my mum has married Mollie's dad.

“So now we are stepbrother and stepsister, which is mad.”

He added: “They met at the reunion about a month ago and since then got engaged and got married.”

Tasha and Andrew move in together

It hasn't all been doom, gloom and whirlwind marriages, because one of the couples from the show seem rock-solid.

Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page finished fourth in the finale, but have since taken a few big steps since leaving the villa.

The loved-up pair have gotten matching tattoos and had a major announcement earlier this week.

The couple announced that they had officially moved in together in their own place, after teasing that they had found their "dream place" in London.

It must have been handy when one of then (Andrew) is an estate agent.
