What are the York Outer General Election 2019 results in full?

Voters throughout York Outer have been braving the elements at the polls to elect their MP in the 2019 General Election.

And now the waiting is over for voters in Bishopthorpe, Copmanthorpe, Huntington and New Earswick, Strensall and Wheldrake.

The seat of York Outer has a new Member of Parliament, with the Conservatives' Julian Sturdy retaining the seat he won in 2010.

He won 49.4 per cent of the vote, with Labour coming in second and the Liberal Democrats in third.

Conservative - Julian Sturdy - 27,324

Vote share %: 49.4

Labour - Anna Perrett - 17,339

Vote share %: 31.3

Liberal Democrat - Keith Aspden - 9,992

Vote share %: 18.1

Independent - Scott Marmion - 692

Vote share %: 1.3
