What are the stars of 'Disenchanted' up to amid filming break in Ireland?

Among the Hollywood elite that touched down in Ireland over the last few months to film the Disney sequel, Disenchanted, is Patrick Dempsey, Amy Adams, Elizabeth Banks, Idina Menzel and more.

The blockbuster is being shot in the picturesque town of Enniskerry, and after months of renovations, people from across the country have been driving down to get a glimpse of the set and the stars themselves.

Filming paused at the end of June, opening the set to the public and while things remain on hold for a few more weeks, some of the stars have been discovering the beauty Ireland has to offer.

Most recently, Elizabeth Banks - best known for her roles in The Hunger Games, Pitch Perfect, and Charlie’s Angels - travelled to the Cliffs of Moher with her husband, Max Handelman, and shared their trip with fans on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Patrick Dempsey, who has become a favourite of Irish Disney fans across the country, has been keeping everyone up to date on social media, and most recently took a trip to Dublin’s City Centre to visit the famous Oscar Wilde Memorial Sculpture in Merrion Square.

He has been spotted across Ireland in the months since his arrival, and shares his morning walks, trips to Dalkey island, climbing of the Sugar Loaf and more with fans, regularly commenting on his love of Ireland.

Bridesmaids’ Maya Rudolph is also making the most of her time off here in Ireland and posed for a photo after an ‘Ireland’s Eye’ ferry to Howth with her family.

The company shared the picture on Instagram with the caption; 'We welcomed actor Maya Rudolph and her family on board today as she took a break from filming Disney's Disenchanted. They really enjoyed the scenery Howth has to offer.'

Amy Adams has remained silent on social media since landing on Irish soil, and simply posted a video on Instagram to tell fans she was here filming.

Among the other Hollywood heavyweights that have made the journey here to film the highly anticipated sequel is James Marsden who is best known for his roles in Enchanted, The Notebook, and Hairspray.

Meanwhile, Frozen star Idina Menzel is also here to film but has remained mum on what she’s up to in her time off.

The actors and production teams will be returning to Enniskerry on July 21 for another two weeks of filming before they head back stateside ahead of the film's release which is rumoured to be sometime in 2022.
