What are the Shipley General Election 2019 results in full?

Voters in Shipley have gone to the ballot box to elect their MP in the General Election 2019.

A new Member of Parliament has now been elected for the constituency, which includes the Bradford wards of Baildon, Bingley, Bingley Rural, Shipley, Wharfedale, and Windhill and Wrose.

The sitting MP before the election was the Conservatives' Philip Davies, who has kept hold of the seat for this General Election.

The Conservative Party secured 27,437 votes, closely followed by Labour's 21,195 votes.

The seat has been held by the Tories since 2005, and has regularly swapped between them and Labour.

It voted to leave in the 2016 EU referendum.

Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday December 12 with the votes taking place overnight.

The 2019 results:

Conservative: Philip Davies - 27,437

Labour: Jo Pike - 21,195

Liberal Democrat: Caroline Jones - 3,188

Green: Celia Hickson - 3,188

The Yorkshire Party: Darren Longhorn - 883
