What are the Rotherham General Election 2019 results in full?

Voters of Rotherham have been braving the cold and the rain at the polls to elect their MP in the 2019 General Election.

And now the waiting is over for Boston Castle, Brinsworth and Catcliffe, Keppel, Rotherham East, Rotherham West, Valley and Wingfield.

The seat of Rotherham has a new Member of Parliament.

Before this year's election, the sitting MP was Labour's Sarah Champion.

She held her seat, but the night cannot be considered a roaring success for Labour, who lost 15.1 per cent of their 2017 share.

Champion took home 41.3 per cent of the vote, ahead of 11,615 taken by Conservative candidate Gerri Hickton.

Polls closed across the UK at 10pm on December 12, and a count has been underway ever since.

The 2019 results are below:

  1. LABOUR: Sarah Champion - 14,736
  2. CONSERVATIVE: Gerri Hickton - 11,615
  3. THE BREXIT PARTY: Paul Hague - 6,125
  4. LIBERAL DEMOCRAT: Adam Carter - 2,090
  5. THE YORKSHIRE PARTY: Dennis Bannan - 1,085
