What are the odds of a Titans player winning a 2019 AP NFL MVP Award?

The Tennessee Titans most certainly have something to prove as they look to go from “good to great” in the upcoming 2019 season.

With this will come recognition, including awards to to players who stand out the most.

So, what are the odds of a Titans player winning the 2019 AP NFL MVP Award?

According to Pro Football Superbook, there are two players expected to be candidates — quarterback Marcus Mariota and running back Derrick Henry.

Mariota’s odds are 100-1, while Henry’s stand a bit farther at 200-1. Indianapolis Colts signal-caller Andrew Luck had the best odds of any AFC South player at 8-1.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes sits atop the list with 4-1 chances, even in front of names like Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Tom Brady.

Here’s a look at the complete list.

The two Tennessee players who made the list do make sense as potential winners, as both enter the year with plenty to prove.

Mariota, who is now on the fifth and final year of his rookie deal, will look to show that he’s the team’s quarterback of the future and can help provide some consistency within the offense.

Henry had a large amount of momentum at the end of 2018, and will need to show that he can continue to build off of that as the Titans look for continuity and strength within the ground game.

It will be interesting to see if either player is able to secure the honors by the time the season comes to a close.
