It has been cold and wet, but the voters of Haltemprice and Howden have been braving the elements at the polls to elect their MP in the 2019 General Election.
And now the waiting for Brough, Elloughton, South Cave, North Ferriby, Swanland, Gilberdyke, Newport, Welton and Melton is over.
The seat of Haltemprice and Howden has a new Member of Parliament.
Before this year's election, the sitting MP was Conservative David Davis, who held in 2019.
The former Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union too 31,045 - over 20,000 than Labour's George Ayre in second.
Ayre would not have expected much in what is a pretty safe seat for the Tories, but will be disappointed to take nearly 10 per cent less of the vote than Labour took in 2017.
There was a 70 per cent turnout for the seat which Davis has held since 1987.
A count has been underway ever since polls closed across the UK at 10pm sharp on December 12.
The 2019 results are below:
CONSERVATIVE: David Davis - 31,045
LABOUR: George Ayre - 10,716
LIBERAL DEMOCRAT: Linda Johnson - 5,215
GREEN: Angela Stone - 1,764
THE YORKSHIRE PARTY: Richard Honnoraty - 1,039
