Halifax General Election 2019 results in full

It has been cold and wet, but the voters of Halifax have been braving the elements at the polls to elect their MP in the 2019 General Election.

And now the waiting for Halifax and Sowerby Bridge is over.

The seat of Halifax has a new Member of Parliament.

Before this year's election, the sitting MP was Labour's Holly Lynch.

A count has been underway ever since polls closed across the UK at 10pm sharp on December 12.

The 2019 results are below:

The new MP is Labour's Holly Lynch.

Breakdown:

Labour: Holly Lynch - 21,496

Conservative: Kashif Ali - 18,927

The Brexit Party: Sarah Wood - 2,813

Liberal Democrat: James Baker - 2,276

Green: Bella Jessop - 946
