Doncaster Central General Election 2019 results in full

It's been a grim day, but Doncaster Central voters have been braving the wind and the rain at the polls to elect their MP in the 2019 General Election.

And now the waiting for Armthorpe, Balby, Bessacarr and Cantley, Central, Edenthorpe, Kirk Sandall and Barnby Dun, Town Moor and Wheatley is over.

The seat of Doncaster Central has a new Member of Parliament.

Before this year's election, the sitting MP was Labour's Rosie Winterton.

A count has been underway ever since polls closed across the UK at 10pm sharp on December 12.

The 2019 results are below:

The new MP is Labour Rosie Winterton.

Breakdown:

Labour: Rosie Winterton - 16,638

Conservative: Roberto Weeden-Sanz - 14,360

The Brexit Party: Surjit Duhre - 6,842

Liberal Democrat: Paul Horton - 1,748

The Yorkshire Party: Leon French - 1,012

Green: Frank Sheridan - 981
