What are the Batley and Spen General Election 2019 results in full?

Voters in Batley and Spen have gone to the polls to elect their MP in the General Election 2019.

And a new Member of Parliament has been elected for the constituency, which includes Birstall, Batley, Cleckheaton and Birkenshaw.

The seat's sitting Labour and Co-op MP Tracy Brabin has held her seat, and will return to Parliament when it reconvenes.

She won the seat in a by-election in 2015, following the murder of former Labour MP Jo Cox.

She won 42.7 per cent of the vote, with the Tories coming second and the Heavy Woollen District Independents taking third place.

Labour - Tracy Brabin - 22,594

Vote share %: 42.7

Conservative - Mark Brooks - 19,069

Vote share %: 36.0

Heavy Woollen District Independents - Paul Halloran - 6,432

Vote share %: 12.2

Liberal Democrat - John Lawson - 2,462

Vote share %: 4.7

The Brexit Party - Clive Minihan - 1,678

Vote share %: 3.2

Green - Ty Akram - 692

Vote share %: 1.3
