Chin up, Spring bank holiday is fast approaching.

Monday, May 20, is UK-wide bank holiday, promising many of us a three-day weekend.

Unfortunately, Sainsbury's is about as exciting as leaving the house gets as we approach week nine of lockdown. And while eating out is not an option, feasting in certainly is.

This means you need to be fully clued up about the stores opening hours next Monday, so as not to miss out on the day's peak activities.

What are Sainsbury's opening times this bank holiday?

Supermarket opening hours have been adjusted lately due to the coronavirus lockdown. Larger Sainsbury's shops are now open between 8am and 10pm Monday to Saturday, with fewer hours on Sunday, although smaller convenience stores are usually open for longer.

On Monday's bank holiday, most Sainsbury's stores will be open from 8am to 8pm.

Note that on Mondays, the supermarket company has introduced priority shopping times for elderly customers, carers and disabled customers between 8am and 9am. This will apply over the bank holiday.

Am I able to get food delivered?

Customers who are vulnerable to coronavirus can register for Sainsbury’s home delivery. If no members of the household are considered vulnerable, you cannot get deliveries, but click and collect is available.
