What are King Charles and Queen Camilla doing today on US state visit?

  • King Charles and Queen Camilla are undertaking a state visit to New York, with a busy itinerary planned for their third day.
  • They will visit the 9/11 memorial at 1pm local time, where they will meet first responders and families of those affected by the attacks.
  • Queen Camilla is scheduled to visit the New York Public Library at 2pm local time (7pm BST) to donate a specially crafted Roo toy, completing its collection of Winnie-the-Pooh characters.
  • The original Roo toy, which inspired A.A. Milne's stories, was lost in the 1930s, and the new one was made by traditional British teddy bear makers Merrythought.
  • King Charles will attend a community engagement in Harlem and a UK-US trade and business event at 3.25pm local time (8.25pm BST), before reuniting with Camilla for a cultural reception at around 5.15pm local time (10.15pm BST).
