What Antonio Brown reportedly said to Mike Mayock during heated confrontation

The Antonio Brown saga with the continues to have more twists and turns to it by the day.

On Thursday, the reports said the wide receiver got into a heated confrontation with general manager Mike Mayock and that the franchise could suspend Brown. The wideout unfollowed the Raiders on Instagram, getting fans furious.

But what was said between the two that got us to this place?

Per ESPN’s Josina Anderson, it started with Brown being “unhappy” with the fines he received from the team — he posted a letter from Mayock on Instagram detailing the money he owed — and began talking to Mayock at practice.

Then?

The Raiders source confirmed information from another league source who said Brown called Mayock a “cracker” and unleashed a barrage of “cuss words” during the altercation.

The team source said Mayock tried to keep his cool and defuse the situation.

“[Mayock] was like, ‘I’m cool, I understand your displeasure,'” the source said. “Mayock] sort of just like … just walked away because he saw it escalate.”

The source stressed the confrontation escalated quickly, but it never appeared to be getting physical, and players, including linebacker Vontaze Burfict, attempted to separate Brown from the situation in order to calm him down.

There was additionally a report from the MMQB’s Albert Breer that Brown used another expletive in the rant at Mayock.

After all of that, there’s also this new report from Anderson: Brown apologized to the team with the team captains beside him, which comes hours after David Carr, the brother of Raiders QB Derek, said the captains told Jon Gruden they were okay with whatever he decided to do with the receiver:

What’s next here? We’ll see if the Raiders decide to suspend him for just a game or discipline him a lot more.
