Amadou Haidara has already told Manchester United that he wants to complete a dream move to Old Trafford.
The 23-year-old has been mooted as a rumoured target for the Premier League giants after being unearthed by the club's newly-appointed interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
Indeed, the RB Leipzig player was signed by Rangnick from RB Salzburg — another club the German has worked at — in January 2019.
Having finished as runners-up to Manchester City last campaign, key figures in the Old Trafford boardroom issued a triple statement of intent during the summer transfer window.
Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo were all signed by sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, they were priced out of a follow-up pursuit for Declan Rice and Manchester Evening News understands that the West Ham and England star has already been earmarked as a priority target in the same regard for the next summer transfer window.
A number of alternative central midfield options have also been suggested, though.
One of them is Leipzig midfielder, Haidara, who has played 100 matches for the Bundesliga outfit and is reported to have a release clause around the £33million mark.

And now quotes about his love for United have resurfaced amid a suggestion from the Times that United are primed to send scouts to watch him over the next week.
Speaking to FootMali.com in October 2019, Haidara said: "My dream club is Manchester United. I will fight with all my strength to one day play for that club."
