What Aaron Ramsey posted to Eric Dier on Instagram as Arsenal replay derby win over Tottenham

With all Premier League football postponed until the end of the April at the very least due to the coronavirus pandemic, Arsenal fans were given the chance to relive one of the most memorable games in recent years.

On Wednesday, the official Arsenal website streamed the 4-2 north London derby win over Tottenham last season - Unai Emery's first campaign in charge at the Emirates.

The victory was heralded as a real statement in Arsenal's attempts to finish in the top four, but Emery's side would ultimately fall short, finishing fifth and just a single point behind their fierce riavls.

Nevertheless, it was a moment after the victory over Spurs which has continued to provide a source of amusement for Arsenal fans - and it was evident during the live stream of the game.

Aaron Ramsey, who left Arsenal for Juventus last summer, was instrumental against Spurs that afternoon after his introduction from the bench at half-time.

Tottenham were ahead at the break, thanks to Harry Kane and a spot kick won by Son Heung-min. Dier had earlier scored their equaliser in the first half.

The England midfielder's celebration saw him make a shush gesture to the Arsenal fans, with members of the home team taking exception to his behaviour.

Ramsey was one of the players who left the Arsenal bench to confront the England international over his attempts to wind up supporters.

In response, Dier told the Welshman to go and sit back down. By the final whistle, however, Ramsey would have the last laugh after assisting two goals to put the result beyond Spurs.

After the game, the Wales international uploaded a message on his Instagram account to mock Dier's actions during the scuffle on the touchline.

The caption read: "Sit down he said!” referencing Dier’s comment and he also added a winking emoji heart to the post.

This season, the former Gunners midfielder has established himself as a key player for Juventus, and was in excellent form for Maurizio Sarri's side before matches were postponed.

Ramsey started in Juve's last three league matches and scored in two of them - including the 2-0 home win over Inter Milan, which opened up a nine-point lead at the top of the Serie A table.
