‘What a total disgrace:’ Pam Bondi struggles to address Trump’s antics, including Epstein files meddling and National Guard use

On Tuesday, October 7, United States Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared for a hearing at the Senate Judiciary Panel and answered questions related to her leadership of the Justice Department. A majority of the Senate believed that Bondi was exploiting her position and was aiding President Donald Trump in his highly radical practices of establishing a dictatorial government. She was also accused of engaging in several other malpractices that could be considered unconstitutional.

Several members of the jury during Tuesday’s hearing specifically accused Pam Bondi of withholding information related to the Epstein files to protect Trump, whose name is on it. They also accused her of mishandling the documents to ensure that even if the details of the papers are revealed, Trump’s name is not on them.Bondi, however, refused to comment on the matter, carefully deflecting any Epstein-related discussions.

When the time came for Senator Dick Durbin to question Bondi about Epstein and his infamous files, he asked her about the person or entity who had given her the order to “flag” records for Donald Trump. To this, Bondi expressed disbelief and tactically avoided answering the question. She said:

“I’m not going to discuss anything about that with you.”

Pam Bondi declined to answer several questions during Tuesday’s hearing, not just those asked by Senator Durbin. She also dodged questions concerning Epstein and Trump when asked by other members of the jury. In addition, she blamed the jury for failing to demand the release of the records in question before Trump’s presidency, saying that their interest was politically driven.

Bondi was also questioned regarding President Trump’s aggressive deployment of the National Guard in some U.S. cities against the opposition of the governors of those cities. Durbin asked her if the White House consulted her before sending the National Guard to Chicago. Bondi again refused to engage, explaining that she did not want to “discuss any internal conversations with the White House.”
