'What a start' - Leeds United fans make the same point as Stuart Dallas earns new contract

Leeds United fans have started their weekend with a spring in their step after the club announced a new three-year deal for Stuart Dallas.

The Northern Irishman has put pen to paper on fresh terms at Elland Road after a stellar debut Premier League campaign for Marcelo Bielsa's side.

Dallas became an integral part of Leeds' midfield, moving from left-back, which saw him scoop up the Players' Player and Player of the Year awards.

The 30-year-old started every single Premier League game for Leeds, scoring eight times and serving up two assists whilst going from strength to strength.

Understandably, the news has given Leeds fans the perfect tonic heading into the weekend.

Dallas also claimed the Whites' Goal of the Season award for his last-minute winner against Manchester City, as he burst through the City defence with a lung-busting run before finishing past Ederson.

Dallas has clocked up 229 appearances for Leeds since his 2015 arrival from Brentford and he has missed just one league game in Uniteds' last two campaigns.

The versatile midfielder reported back to duty with the rest of the Leeds squad for day one of pre-season testing on Thursday and will begin work with Bielsa from Monday at Thorp Arch.
