Nottingham Forest appear to be on the verge of signing their fifth player of the summer.
Portgueuse outlet Record are reporting that David Tavares is in advanced negotiations with the Reds and that a deal could be concluded in the next few days.
The midfielder has been linked with a move to the Reds throughout the summer, with his team-mate at Benfica Jota also mentioned as a possible transfer target for Sabri Lamouchi's side.
There is nothing in the Jota speculation but Tavares appears to be progressing quickly and the 21 year-old attacking midfielder is set to join Forest.
The former Sporting youth has made plenty of outings for Benfica's reserves but has only two first-team outings to his name.
Forest have signed four players from Benfica in the last couple of years and Tavares looks set to make that five.
"It’s alright bringing these players in but we desperately need to offload some," one fan said.
"He's a good age," added another. "If he's a good fit he could be part of the team for a long time to come."

A third fan said: "Happy with recruitment so far and names we're working on. However, this Tavares baffles me."
"Would be another positive addition who would add real presence and power to the Reds’ midfield," said another.
"What a signing from Forest in Tavares," a fifth fan added.
