'What a sight' - Arsenal fans sent into transfer frenzy after what Declan Rice did on Instagram

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice sparked transfer frenzy on social media after a number of Arsenal fans noticed his recent Instagram activity.

Former Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere posted pictures of himself at the club's London Colney training ground and Rice took to the comments section, admitting that he loves seeing his former Hammers teammate back training with the north London club.

“What a sight man,” Rice said under pictures of Wilshere donning Arsenal's training kit.

The Hammers midfielder 's activity didn't go unnoticed by the Gunners faithful, who couldn't resist the urge to tell the England international to join Mikel Arteta's side in the coming months. Here is what a select few on Instagram said.

jackrustt : "Join Arsenal you and Partey would be elite.

deomi_ibnu : "Join arsenal mate."

rinaldo_tomkinson : "Sign da ting then @arsenal."

nekkksy : "sign for Arsenal!!!"

Despite their fans best efforts, Arsenal would undoubtedly struggle to convince Rice to join the Emirates Stadium given his hefty price tag and the fact that the east London club are currently three points ahead of the Gunners - who are 10th in the Premier League standings going into this weekend's fixtures.

West Ham boss David Moyes admitted last week that the English international would cost any buyer in excess of £100million - a fee that would make him the most expensive player in Premier League history.

Asked if he worries about teams coming in for Rice, and others, Moyes told Sky Sports : "No I don’t, because there was a bargain to be got with Declan at £100million.

"That bargain’s now gone. So we have a lot of really good players at this football club.

"I think while you’re building and developing, people might always come and look at your players. But it’s good that they are because that tells us that they’re doing well."
