'What a man' - Stuart Pearce hands Nottingham Forest fans Christmas joy

Mention the name Stuart Pearce to any Nottingham Forest supporter and you’ll instantly have their attention, probably with a little glint in their eye.

The Forest legend, former captain and manager often champions the club’s cause, and will always be held in the highest of high regards by those fans that worshipped the left-back during a glittering 12-year career on Trentside, which saw him clock up more than 500 appearances in the Garibaldi.

His legendary status was further enhanced over the weekend when he donned his Forest Christmas jumper at another of his former clubs, Manchester City.

Pearce was commentating for radio broadcaster talkSPORT on City’s 3-1 win over Leicester at the Etihad Stadium in Saturday’s Premier League clash, and having been challenged to wear some festive attire, Pearce opted to wear the Forest festive top much to the delight of his adoring public.

Pearce has been out of management after leaving West Ham in 2018, having worked under David Moyes.

The ex-England man had been working with Portsmouth’s defenders earlier in the season, having been a regular at Fratton Park, fitting it around his busy media commitments.
