'What a hero' - Palace fans are loving what Aston Villa's Mile Jedinak did at Spurs' new stadium

There was a familiar face among the Crystal Palace supporters at Tottenham's new stadium last night (Wednesday) as former Eagle Mile Jedinak joined the travelling fans.

The Aston Villa midfielder, who left Palace in 2016, was spotted in the away end at the game, which was Tottenham's long-awaited first fixture in their new stadium after months of delays.

And Palace fans were very happy to see the 34-year-old Australian midfielder among them at Tottenham's new stadium, as can be seen from the reaction of Eagles supporters on social media.

Here's what some Palace fans had to say after spotting Jedinak among them.

Jedinak was a popular figure during his time at Palace, after signing for the then-Championship side in 2011.

What happened to the Crystal Palace players who helped beat Brighton at the Amex Stadium in 2011

During his five years at the club, he scored ten goals for the Eagles in 178 games, and captained Palace to promotion from the Championship in 2013, before helping to establish the club in the top flight.

He left Palace to join Aston Villa in 2016, signing a three-year deal with the Championship club.

Jedinak has since played more than 60 games for the Villa Park side, but has only featured four times for Villa this season.
