Whaley Bridge, evacuated over fears dam could burst, set for more heavy rain this evening - what you need to know

More heavy rain could hit Whaley Bridge tonight after the town was evacuated due to flooding fears.

A dam wall collapsed at Toddbrook Reservoir on Thursday, following days of torrential rain.

A yellow weather warning is in place for the town, in the High Peak district of Derbyshire, from 9pm until 3am on Friday.

There is a 'small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life', the Met Office warns.

The warning says some roads may be closed and there is a chance power could be lost.
