This book is about a boy named Michael Fontaine, who is really interested in the sea, boats and sharks. He helps in restaurants and shops to earn money to save up for his own boat. The person who he plans to by the boat from, Mr Levi, has all of his earnings. Unfortunately, Mr Levi dies, which leaves him without his money and boat.
However, a rich man named Spargo promised him many items, such as a boat, if Micheal would work for him to spot whales and dolphins. Was this too good to be true? Michael accepted this offer only to find out the mystery behind this rich man…
This story was so exciting - I could not put it down. The author has created a huge amount of suspense and tension, leaving the reader guessing at certain points during this book.
I recommend this book to anyone over the age of 8 because of the brilliant plot and mystery created by Nicola Davies.
