Wexford GAA results as St Martin's beat Cloughbawn and Naomh Eanna defeat Rapparees with last minute penalty

The second round of games in the Wexford Senior Hurling Championship takes place this weekend, with a number of matches set to be played.

Two games took place on Friday evening with St Martin's beating Cloughbawn by 0-23 to 0-15 in Group A, while Naomh Éanna defeated Rapparees by a single point in Group D, winning by 2-11 to 0-16.

St Martin's led by a couple of points for most of the game and ran out winners by eight in very wet conditions in the end.

Meanwhile, Raparees came from 1-8 to 0-6 down at half-time to take the lead around half way through the second-half, but tasted defeat as Naomh Éanna scored a goal from a penalty in the final minute of the game to win by a point.

There was also action in the Intermediate A Championship as Gusserane-O`Rahilly's comfortably defeated Our Lady's Island in Group B.

Having led 2-15 to 0-1 at half-time, they went on to run out 2-24 to 1-3 winners.
