Davy Fitzgerald has no problem admitting that he enjoys the sideline wars with his fellow inter-county manager.
The current Wexford manager, and former Waterford and Clare boss, is known for his passion and fiery demeanour.
But asked on The Sunday Game, which will air at 9.30pm on RTE, about his several run-ins with the opposition over the years, Fitzgerald had no regrets.
"I don't think I've had that many [run-ins], not as many you think," the 48-year-old said.
"Am I passionate? I think if you watch a seventy minute game in total there will be times - RTE are pretty good at picking out the times when I do get passionate.
"Can Brian Cody get passionate? Oh, yeah. Can Liam Sheedy get passionate? Yeah. Can John Kiely get passionate? Yeah.
"It's there. It is all there and I love it.
"I respect them guys, and I love the few verbals that we can have once you can leave it there afterwards.
"You have to be able to leave it there and I'd like to think I'm one of them people."
Fitzgerald also reflected on his time playing under Clare legend Ger Loughnane. Later Fitzgerald was the subject of criticism from Loughnane when the former was the Clare boss and the latter was doing punditry for RTE.
"He'd be critical of other Clare managers. I can remember Anthony [Daly] not being too happy with him. I remember Cyril [Lyons] not being too happy with him at times.
"He had a go at every Clare manager who was there and every other manager. That's just the way Ger is and his punditry would have bothered me a lot at the start.
"I would have been thinking 'why would a Clareman cut another Clareman?' It didn't make sense.
"But Ger is Ger, and Ger will do what he wants to do."
