Song of Namibia is napped to land the Calor Gas Handicap Hurdle in Wexford.
The eight-year-old started his career with Sir Michael Stoute before winning three times on the flat for Ger Lyons.
Now with Gordon Elliott, Song of Namibia showed signs of promise in maiden hurdle company, including races won by City Island and Vision D'honneur, at Punchestown and Leopardstown respectively.
Given a mark of 102 by the handicapper, following a distant fourth to Curious Times at Down Royal in January and back after a break, the Cape Cross bolted-up in a rated novice hurdle at Downpatrick on Sunday and looks set to defy a mandatory penalty
here.
Elliott also has obvious prospects with Soldier At War, despite top-weight, in the Boylesports Novice Hurdle.
