Weverse Major Update: BTS 'Permission To Dance On Stage' Details And What's In Store For July

BTS drops live album in Weverse July update

BTS is once again taking centre stage in July 2025 with a major Weverse update that has fans buzzing.

The K-pop supergroup has announced their first official live album, a special digital video pack, and fresh hints about a 2026 comeback. Here's what you need to know.

BTS Drops First-Ever Live Album: 'Permission to Dance On Stage – LIVE'

In a move that has electrified the BTS ARMY, the group is releasing their first-ever live album, Permission to Dance On Stage – LIVE. Set for release on 18 July 2025 at 1:00 PM KST, the album captures the energy and emotional highs of BTS's global stadium tour from 2021 to 2022.

The album includes 22 tracks, recorded across Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Fans can expect live versions of fan favourites such as Butter, Dynamite, Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey), Life Goes On, and ON. This release is significant as it marks the first major group project since BTS began their military enlistments.

Pre-orders began on 1 July via Weverse Shop, with global distribution through other major music retailers.

BTS Digital Pack Offers Exclusive Look at Seoul Concert

In addition to the audio release, BTS is launching a digital video pack titled Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul (Digital Code Edition). This special release includes a 141-minute HD concert recording, a 92-page interview photobook, and several collector items such as photocards, a mini-poster, and light-stick accessories.

The digital pack was also made available for pre-order on 1 July and will be released globally on 18 July. Physical copies for the US and Japan markets will follow on 25 and 28 July, respectively. The video is accessible via digital code and can be viewed through Weverse, providing international fans with direct access to the performance.

July Marks a Turning Point in BTS's Timeline

July is not just about new content releases. This month symbolises a major shift in BTS's trajectory. Member SUGA recently completed his military service, setting the stage for the full group's return. On 1 July, all seven members appeared in a live Weverse broadcast, drawing over 7.3 million global viewers.

During the livestream, BTS hinted at a new studio album expected in spring 2026 and confirmed plans for a world tour to follow. The announcement has generated widespread excitement, especially as this will be the first time the group reunites in full capacity since 2022.

Weverse Continues to Expand BTS's Global Reach

This month's updates highlight Weverse's growing role as a central platform for BTS fan engagement. From exclusive merchandise to digital concert access, Weverse is positioning itself as the go-to hub for all things BTS.

As HYBE prepares for BTS's full return, the release of both the live album and the digital Seoul concert package reflects a broader strategy to keep fans connected while building momentum for future activities.

What This Means for BTS and ARMY in 2025

The July 2025 BTS Weverse update is more than a content drop. It signals the start of a new chapter for the group and their global fanbase. With the release of the Permission to Dance On Stage – LIVE album, the Seoul digital concert pack, and hints of a 2026 comeback, BTS is laying the groundwork for what promises to be a monumental return.

Fans can stay tuned via Weverse for more updates as BTS prepares for the next stage of their journey.
