You can always count on Wetherspoons for a cheap pint or a full english breakfast that won't break the bank. It's more than just a pub; it's a British institution, and in London, you’ll find that one thing you can be sure of is that you’ll never be too far from a Wetherspoons.
And soon, you’ll be even closer.
Following a recent wave of new openings, including the new addition at Waterloo Station and a former tube ticket office in Fulham, two more London locations are set to open their doors this month.
The first of the two is the Sun Wharf, in London Bridge. For nearly 40 years, this building was home to the London Dungeon, which guided people through the capital's gruesome history.

Now, it's being transformed into a pub. The pub’s name is a nod to one of the wharfs that used to sit east of London Bridge; the pub is now scheduled to open on September 30.
London's other new Wetherspoons, complete with a beer garden, is set for the Paddington Basin. Located on Merchant Square, it's taking over the site of the former Temper restaurant, just a five-minute walk from Paddington Station.
The pub is named The Sir Alexander Fleming, as it's not far from Queen Mary's Hospital, the very place where Sir Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin. Now that certainly deserves a pint. This pub is also set to open on September 30.
While the company is expanding, it's also selling off some of its other London pubs as a "commercial decision." The pubs currently on the market include two in London: Baxter's Court in Hackney and the Kentish Drovers in Peckham.
A spokesperson for Wetherspoons has confirmed that these pubs will continue to trade as normal until new owners are found.
