Wetherspoons launching huge sale with pints for as little as £1.49

Wetherspoon pubs in Merseyside are reducing the price of a range of drinks and meals in January, with some pints costing under £2.

From Tuesday, January 3 to Tuesday, January 17 pubgoers can enjoy money off all their favourite drinks, including draught beers and ciders, spirits, and hot drinks. Low and alcohol-free drinks will also be included in the sale.

Customers can also enjoy savings on food too, with offers on some breakfast items, as well as burgers and small plates. The sale prices will be available at 16 pubs across Merseyside.

The participating pubs are; The Raven in Walton Vale, The Thomas Frost in Walton Road, The Welkin in Whitechapel, The Lime Kiln in Fleet Street, The Richard John Blackler in Great Charlotte Street, The Childwall Fiveways Hotel in Queens Drive, The Fall Well in St. John’s Way, The North Western in Lime Street, Liverpool Station, The Captain Alexander in James Street, The Barker’s Brewery in Archway Road, Huyton, The Navigator in Queen’s Drive, Stoneycroft, The Watch Maker in Eccleston Street, Prescot, The Master Mariner in Marine Promenade, New Brighton, The Frank Hornby in Eastway, Maghull, The Prense Well in The Mount, Heswall and The Queen's Picture House in South Road, Waterloo.

The sale prices include a pint of Ruddles Best at £1.49, a pint of Bud Light at £1.89, a pint of Stowford Press Apple Cider at £1.89, a Bell's whisky (25ml measure with mixer) at £1.49, a bottle of Beck's Blue (alcohol free lager) at £1.49, a pint of Guinness at £3.29, Pepsi Max (14oz) at 99p and Lavazza Coffee, tea and hot chocolate (with free refills) at 99p.

The Raven manager, Adelle Brookes, said: "Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale in the pub too. The range of drinks and food on sale in the pub is aimed a suiting a wide variety of tastes.

"This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks. I believe that the January Sale will prove popular with our customers. As always, staff at the pub will serve customers responsibly."
