Wetherspoons extends steak and curry clubs to seven days a week in huge menu shake up

JD Wetherspoon is extending its steak, curry and fish and chip “club” day meal deals so they run seven days a week.

At the moment, punters are only able to order from the “Steak Club” menu on Tuesdays, “Curry Club” on Thursdays and “Fish Friday” on Fridays.

Each one lets you save money when ordering a plate or food and drink from a set menu - but only on their set days.

However, Wetherspoon will be extending the offers from Monday (June 21) across all its 870 pubs.

Prices do vary depending on your location - but when The Mirror checked some menus today, we saw costs varying between £7.95 and £8.95 for a “Curry Club“ meal with an alcoholic drink, or between £6.65 and £7.65 for a soft drink.

Or for “Steak Club”, the price for a meal and alcoholic drink was between £9.15 and £10.15, or between £7.85 and £8.85 for a soft drink.

“Fish Club” prices ranged between £8.15 and £9.15 for “Fish Club” with an alcoholic beverage, or £6.85 and £7.85 without booze.

Sunday Brunch is also replaced by the All Day Brunch, which will be available seven days a week as well following the menu shake-up.

Other meals on the Wetherspoon menu, such as its five-bean chilli and Wiltshire cured ham, eggs and chips, also will also now include a drink.

This means that all main meals on the Wetherspoon menu will come with a beverage, with the exception of breakfasts.

Previously, only select meals - such as its range of burgers - had an option where you could add on a drink for a set price.

When its boozers first reopened for outside dining on April 12, certain menu classics including steaks and curries were temporarily taken off the menu.

But a spokesperson from the pub chain told The Mirror that these were put back on May 17, when hospitality businesses were allowed to reopen for inside dining.

Chief executive John Hutson said: “We are confident that our customers will welcome the opportunity to enjoy our Club meals at all times and not just on specific days as has always been the case.

“The club meals offer great meals at excellent prices and we look forward to serving them to our customers throughout the week from Monday June 21.”
