Wet 'n' Wild water park in North Shields reopening date revealed

Wet 'n' Wild has announced it will be re-opening this week after the completion of essential maintenance work.

The water park, at Rotary Way, Royal Quays, North Shields, was closed to the public over the winter but will now be welcoming customers again from Saturday, April 6.

From that date, the site will operate every Saturday and Sunday, and every day during school holidays and bank holidays from 10am to 5pm.

However, as school holidays may differ for families in different areas, the firm is asking people to check their website for confirmation details to get exact holiday opening dates.

The site has been given a deep clean, using specialist machines like floor cleaners and pool vacs, and maintenance operations have been carried out in time for the opening.

Around 40 staff members will be in attendance each day the water park is open.

Wet ‘n’ Wild, which is operated by Serco Leisure, is popular because of a string of thrilling rides, including the Abyss, the Black Hole, Tornado and Kamikaze.

There is also a Lazy River, a wave machine and a mini water park as well as a cafe on site.
