Bristol is due to have a wet and wild Wednesday (November 16) afternoon and evening.
According to Met Office forecasters, the city should prepare for the rain to get heavy around 5pm today, which will then persist into the night and the early hours.
While the BBC reports: "Tonight will be wet and breezy with outbreaks of rain pushing in from the south. The rain will be heavy and persistent in places."

Today:
Sunny spells and heavy showers first thing, the showers easing for a time before a band of heavy and persistent rain arrives during the afternoon. Becoming windy later with coastal gales by the evening. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Tonight:
A wet and windy evening with further outbreaks of rain. The rain will edge away to the northeast overnight allowing clear spells to develop, although some showers towards the west. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
Thursday:
Further showers will affect the region on Thursday, especially in the west. However, there will be some sunshine, and it will be less blustery. Temperatures around normal for mid November. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Drier on Friday with sunny spells and the occasional shower. Dry and bright on Saturday after a chilly start. Wind and rain returning on Saturday night, then showery on Sunday.
