Weston-super-Mare's seafront attraction Tropicana to close next week

Weston-super-Mare's seafront Tropicana is to close next week.

The attraction, owned by North Somerset Council, is to shut down completely for three days from May 14-17.

As well as the main building, The Bay Cafe will also close.

The site is being shut down temporarily for electrical work to be carried out.

A council spokesman said: "Essential electrical upgrade works will be taking place at the Tropicana site between Tuesday 14 and Thursday 16 May.

"During this time the entire building will be without power meaning both The Bay Cafe and Tropicana offices will be temporary closed to both staff and customers.

"The building and café will re-open as usual on Friday 17 May."
