Westminster today - LIVE: Jeremy Corbyn says Labour will pardon suffragettes, as MPs commemorate 100 years of women having the vote

The row within the Conservative Party has a new front after pro-EU backbencher suggested Theresa May should expel hard Brexiteers from the party.

Anna Soubry said around 35 Eurosceptics should be "slung out", adding "it is about time Theresa stood up to them".

It comes as the Prime Minister prepares to give a speech in Manchester on abuse in public life. Marking the 100-year anniversary of women's suffrage, Ms May will warn that the political debate is "coarsening".

Arguing that abuse poses "a threat to our democracy", Ms May will outline measures to clamp down on unacceptable behaviour, including a new social media code of practice.
