A man and woman stabbed to death in Westminster have been named by police.

A post mortem revealed both Clinton Ashmore, 59, and Sharon Pickles, 45, were stabbed in the neck in London on Thursday.

Detectives confirmed their identities after their bodies were discovered at separate addresses half a mile apart.

Officers were called at 9.30pm to a property in Ashbridge Street, Marylebone, following welfare concerns. Ms Pickles was found inside and pronounced dead at the scene.

Paramedics then alerted them to Mr Ashmore, 59, who had been stabbed at a second address in nearby Jerome Crescent, St John’s Wood. He was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Their families have been informed and the attacks are being treated as linked.

On Friday, detectives issued an appeal for information about 49-year-old Lee Peacock. He has not yet been found.

DCI Wayne Jolley, from the Met’s specialist crime command, said: “My thoughts are with the families of Sharon and Clinton. This is a shocking crime and we will not rest until we bring the person or persons responsible to justice.

“Key to that is finding Lee Peacock. We believe he knew both victims and urgently need to locate him to talk to him about their murders.

“If seen, we would urge the public not to approach him, but to contact police as soon as possible.”
