Westlife to play FREE Belfast gig next month

Westlife will play an exclusive gig to fans in Belfast next month - and tickets are free.

The venue will be announced at a later date, but a BBC spokesperson told Belfast Live it will take place at a central Belfast location.

Radio 2 is celebrating the return of live music, putting on a series of gigs around the country.

You can now register for a chance to be part of the Radio 2 Live audience for Westlife's exclusive gig in Belfast on Thursday August 26.

Tickets will be allocated by random draw, with 95% of the tickets going to Belfast postcodes and 5% going to the rest of the UK.

You can register at any time until 8am on Saturday July 31 and fans can apply for a maximum of one pair of tickets.

Westlife said: “We are thrilled to be taking part in this year’s Radio 2 Live. Our show at Hyde Park in 2019 was such a highlight for us and we can’t wait to do something a little different this time.”

Here's how to apply:

Step 1: Apply for tickets

Tickets for this show are being allocated by random draw, so when the BBC receive your ticket request your details are added to the list of applicants.

Applications are accepted until the publicised closing date/time.

Step 2: Receive a message

Once the random draw has closed all eligible requests are entered into the draw.

If successful, the BBC will notify you by text message and send your e-ticket(s) to your email address.

If unsuccessful you will be kept on the waiting list in case anyone cancels their tickets.

Step 3: Bring your tickets and ID

A BBC spokesperson said: "Please ensure you follow any specific instructions you have been given about arrival times and face coverings. Please do not attend the show if you begin to develop any of the symptoms of coronavirus or if you have come into close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.

"Remember that every guest must bring original approved photo ID."
