Westlife star Shane Filan's mother Mae has sadly passed away.
The mum-of-six died peacefully surrounded by her family in Co Sligo yesterday.
Mae, from Kiltimagh, Co Mayo, passed away under the care of staff at North West Hospice, where she lived, RSVP Live reports.
Mae was the loving wife of Peter, mother of Finbarr, Peter, Yvonne, Liam, Denise, Mairéad and Shane.
She is also survived by her sister Kathleen (Kay) Gilmartin, sons-in-law Michael, Rowan and Cathal, daughters-in-law Geraldine, Ciara, Patricia and Gillian, her twenty two cherished grandchildren, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Mae will be reposing at the family home at 'Carlton Lodge', Carrowroe, Sligo, on Monday, December 16, from 4pm to 8pm.
This will be followed by mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 17, in St. Anne's Church.
Burial will follow in Sligo Cemetery.
Their house will remain private outside of reposing times. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to North West Hospice.
