Westlife's Nicky Byrne reveals his excitement for Croke Park comeback gigs

Westlife's Nicky Byrne has spoken of the band’s excitement ahead of their return to Croke Park tonight.

The boys will make an emotional return to the stadium for the first of two gigs this weekend which signs concludes the UK and Ireland leg of the Twenty tour.

Just released today, Dynamite is the third single from their forthcoming album Spectrum and as with the previous releases, it’s been co-written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac.

Speaking ahead of the gig tonight, Nicky Byrne told Belfast Live they’re buzzing to perform the single in front of their home crowd.

“We absolutely cannot wait to perform Dynamite for the first time at Croke Park. It is a great song and I think the fans will love it.”

The video for ‘Dynamite’ will be shot live in front of 160,000 fans, who will be captured forever in a music video that will be seen by millions around the world, at Dublin’s Croke Park stadium on 5 and 6 July.

Kian Egan, Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne and Mark Feehily announced their music comeback late last year and it was swiftly followed by news of a tour and new music on which they have collaborated with Ed Sheeran.

Reflecting on working with the award-winning singer-songwriter Nicky added:”This is our third single that has been co-written by Ed Sheeran.

“It has been amazing to work with him and he really has put his stamp on our new music and upcoming album Spectrum.”

“Dynamite has got such an enchanting melody that starts off subtly and ends up quite big and euphoric.

“It’s about how falling in love creates such glow and light in someone’s life that it literally lights up the world around them.

"It’s an upbeat, fresh summer song and you could say it reflects the energy of our comeback,” he added.
