Westlife's Mark Feehily is a new red-hot favourite to be signed up in the first ever same sex coupling on Strictly Come Dancing.
An inside source revealed the Sligo-born singer is in talks with the BBC to take to the dancefloor in the next series.
And the odds are currently in his favour to be confirmed as a last-minute sign up any day now.
The new dad, and husband-to-be, 40, is just a 10/11 shot with Ladbrokes to sign up for the next series, while 1/6 says we see at least one same-sex couple on the show later this year.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Bar getting off a stool, we haven’t seen a huge amount of dancing from the Westlife boys, but we reckon Mark will be a front-runner if he joins Strictly later this year.”
Meanwhile, Loose Women presenter Denise Welch is backing Mark to appear on the show saying:“Would love to see Mark Feehily to be one half of the first same sex couple on Strictly.
“Hope it happens for the LGBTQ community as he’d be a great advocate.”
Speaking later Denise added: “Mark is a brilliant LGBT role model. He’s an incredible talent.
“I’d love to see him on the Strictly dance floor this year. I’m really hope that it happens.”
Mark is believed to have been approached to feature on the hit BBC reality dance show last year, but couldn’t commit due to Westlife tour plans.
And while the coronavirus pandemic outbreak may have forced Westlife to abort their tour plans, a silver lining seems to have come to the fore as Mark may now be available to dance on the upcoming series of the show.
