Westlife reunion tour becomes fastest selling ever as countdown begins for Belfast dates

Westlife have promised fans their highly anticipated reunion tour will be the 'best we have ever done'.

The Twenty tour, which kicks off in Belfast's SSE Arena next month for five nights is officially the band's fastest selling ever, with 400,000 tickets sold in just 48 hours.

The huge demand for tickets has led to international tour dates being added to the band’s already packed summer schedule where they'll be touring Southeast Asia with 8 massive shows in July and August.

The boys who are back together in the recording studio and preparing for life back on the road, said:  “We’re going to give the fans the best tour we have ever done. So far, we are on track, giving everyone the best version of ourselves - we like to call it “Westlife 2.0”.

"We couldn't be happier with how the last few months have gone and we cannot wait for fans to hear the end results.”

Speaking about the forthcoming album Spectrum, which is now available to pre-order, the Irish foursome said they are excited to be making new music.

“The album has everything that we love in music, heartfelt emotional songs and also great uptempo’s that are designed for our forthcoming stadium performances,” they said.

The new album includes recent hit singles ‘Better Man’ and ‘Hello My Love’, which was written by Ed Sheehan.

Speaking about their reunion earlier this year, Shane Filan said: “We genuinely missed each other and missed the buzz of performing on stage together to all of our fans.”

They have had 33 No.1 albums worldwide and as a live act have sold 5 million concert tickets worldwide.
